Sprint Car News DJ Johnson

410 Sprint Feature | Mercer Raceway Park | 04/23/16

We†re back again and I'm pretty pumped about the idea of a sprint car division in Western Pa maybe Ohio and West Virginia that works according to the rules of RaceSaver.
May 5th I went to PPMS and watched the Crate Late Models for the second time this season Talking to some of the teams that I understand, there are up to 30 cars that may debut this summer The race was really close ; the car was run by Donnie Moran winner†there a while the car doesn†t play as big a role as driver and mechanic.
It's impressive and it†s because they have costs under control Hey, with gas prices on the rise, something needs to be done in our sport to keep people running and coming local tracks tracks are supported by all of us as much as possible .
That being said, I hope there is an interest in a sprint car class with some control she RaceSaver affiliated 305 series could help 410†s that have crumbled in number in our region.
Rod Ort, a former rider of 410 to Central Pa couldn†t just make the deal more 410 costs rose and it had started a new business but wanted to run a sprint car.

ВЂњI type GOT it 410 sprints because of cost, ” Ort said “I spent some riders using ARCA time runner Norm Benning Pittsburgh area which was really cool for a while, but I always like to have my own car I got so again in I used to race with French Grimes in 410†s and I considered a number of things, but I did it mostly because not so much the cost, which was certainly a factor but the fact that it was intended recreational ”.
This class would serve a purpose in our region Sharon Speedway old sprints Green flag now called Limited Sprints who runs a small upper wing, no wing of the nose and a crate motor It ranks isn†your “discovery” sprint cars in the area and I don†t believe that 410 is a way to experience the racing sprint.
Ort went on to say that the class is what it is, a participating class.
ВЂњIf someone thinks about race and can do it on a part time basis, it is a good class discovery, ” Ort said good class It†whether you have any interest or part in car races You sprint don†t have to spend a lot of money in the competition.
ВЂњMaking more than it would create more problems, ” said Ort “Structure is important, the 305 series should remain as a series of participants that is fun to watch, affordable for developers and a good class to have weekly It†s not for anyone to get famous, weвЂ're not 410†s ”.

WeвЂ'll continue Rod†interview next week on RaceSaver 305 Sprint cars.
Sunday, O†Reilly All Stars visited the Speedway Bedford for the first time in a few years, the number of car was okay with 28 cars in the pits 10 of which were nearly all regulars stars missing the mixture was Dale Blaney and 2 car owned by George Fisher team had planned to run both Port Royal and Bedford, but after the rainout Saturday Fisher loaded and returned to Ohio.
Kenny Jacobs set the fastest time Jackson†Barry Jacobs 8J to be inducted into the National Sprint Car Fall of Fame next month plans shopping both Pa and Ohio Speedweeks Jacobs attend the Bob Weikert Memorial which was rescheduled for June 14 at Port Royal in the All stars return to Central Pa Supposedly, Jacobs Weikert pilot a paint system and I think the number will be 29.
Bill Rose won his first All Star function as a pilot when he took the checkered flags in Bedford Jeff Sheppard substrate for Rose and won at I-96 just a few years, while Rose was in competition at million for non-wing cars in Eldora.

A Lernerville Friday I had another story told me how the racing family helps each other Tom and Fran Chiappelli sprinter who own 98 Dan Shetler readers told me about their experience with kindness and Western Pa generosity involving a competitor.
Just a few weeks Terry Bowser, the owner of the 59 and 10 cars mentioned Bowser Excavating Tom and Fran that if they ever needed a store to work after night†Friday of the race and on the way Sharon on Saturday, they could use his place.
Long story short, the clutch is released in the truck not matter who led after the race on Friday if Tom called Gary Risch for the number of Bowser†course, Gary offered his help too.
Terry Bowser Chiappelli†offered everything they needed to get their rig back on the road Nuepert Brett, a crew member Chiappelli†s who works at the local dealership Fyda made a few calls; the platform was on its way to the shop for repair.
I'm sure he wasn†t a big deal but for Terry Bowser for Chiappelli†s; something they it†won†t forget.

NEWSNOTESWHATKNOT †Lindsay Enscore, 22, of North Washington, Butler County made his debut in a car full size sprint Friday at Lernerville Lindsay participated in mirco-sprints for 7 years before attending Sprint school car Texas Smiley Smitton†Smitton Sprint also operates a series of Texas SST RaceSaver 305 Sprint Car series†If your team is still need t-shirts; Give me a call Racewear, 800-775-8337 or by email at for more info†Until next week, stay safe we†back with more Clash Commonwealth me a line with your comments or June 5, 07 issues.
we are still here, time flies April is gone and summer is headed are way and hopefully it will be dry or at least dry it was.
Last week, I wrapped most of the French Grimes interview I asked on French regions that race under the banner RaceSaver and where to different regions.
Гўв Е If they run under the RaceSaver penalty and they formed their Tech man then you can expect parity between engines, Grimes said Гўв Вќ As with everything else, it seems that it all comes down to trust when it comes to organizations race each other.
Гўв Е multiplatform application of seals is a matter which each region must build trust with each other, Гўв Вќ Grimes said Гўв Е Interregional events fall under my jurisdiction, if itГўв в ўs a combination of running areas, I coordinates with the people we had 8-305 nationals before the national championships all engines are tested before the competition regardless seals they get re-tech So thatГўв в ўs how we maintain a cross-check on the different seals Гўв Вќ Even after checking the seals again each region still has choice except a joint or not.
His Гўв ë each region to decide which seals feel at ease except without inspection, but the fact that seals are there that come from a sealed region reduced their concern now how much it is reduced each region Гўв Вќ Grimes said.

The regions most arenГўв в part ўt close enough to run all the time together, but some of them get together.
Гўв Е Tom Ort seals of Pa305Гўв Â may come running with our group Va Sprint series if they wish and vice-a-versa Гўв Вќ Grimes said Гўв Е Each group must be comfortable with the other group, but theyГўв в ўre while running off the same set of rules and there is no engine changes allowed If they are sealed motors, itГўв в ўs suspected all comply with national rules Гўв Вќ.
Some areas have rules that might be different, but no agreement with motors For an example, Va Sprint Series doesnГўв в ўt allow nostrils were ўs of Pa305Гўв to perform  Ala.
Personally, I think a car should sprint like his 410 relative as we know it when you give them a different look, then it is difficult for the reader to move because there are other things to learn besides just face power difference.
As a clarification, the national rules RaceSaver not say Ala can be used national rules are used at any time I mentioned that I have additional interviews that will be used in future columns, I will address a number of things that have been raised recently.
account of cars in Western Pa were dangerously low this season Even the car heads to Lernerville havenГўв в ўt been great; theyГўв в ўve been the best in Western Pa There seems to be more sprint car racerГўв ўs the area around  Lernerville helps Lernerville with the number of cars.

No doubt there are many problems 410 Sprint car racing and I'm not sure 100 itГўв в ўs all about wings and tires, I think the problem is under the hood that is where the more money is spent However, it must be easier to control the upper wing and tire usage and cost and try to control the cost of engines.
Sharon rained and Mercer had only 18 sprint cars That isnГўв в ўt well now, I think it is enough 410Гўв Â ўs in the area, they just canГўв в ўt afford to run as much as they would they choose which ever night working for them Sunday night in Tri-City, 9 sprint cars competed.

In the column last week, I asked you to return this week to learn more about Limited Sprints, which are 305 to 358 s and 360 s for most After talking with a few people in the sport, I decided I would treat the 305 s in this column weekГўв в and address the other classes as the season continues.
You may be wondering why write about a class that only a handful of races at tracks and not in Western Pa Well, if you've read my column over the years you know I'm always where the new sprint car drivers come with less micro sprints and other freewheeling support classes in our region.

Before we get into the differences between the 305 s in other areas, let me say that I am and fully supports the idea of a limited class racing sprint cars that can cross to other tracks perhaps even different states for runners who want to compete in a sprint car full size.
I know you're probably thinking big, another class support to keep me on the track all night Believe me, I understand and agree with you what I'd like to see is more tracks have the 305's on their schedule anytime throughout the season the division could run in different cars and have 18-20 races that take an organization of dedicated individuals who believe in the sport and hope that maybe down the road, someone which led once 305 moves up to 410 s and does well because they have acquired a real racing experience driving a full-size sprinter.
While I'm a car guy sprint, can deny that, I think itГўв в ўs not a good idea for someone to learn to drive a car to sprint full size competing in the most powerful class sprint cars I feel some of the drivers that are competing in the class would now be better served if they got some experience before jumping into motor racing 410 sprint.
When I was preparing this column, I knew I had to talk to someone who really had a handle on the 305 s, I had the chance to speak with French Grimes, the RaceSaver series and Virginia Sprint series.

French took time from his busy Saturday morning at Fork Mountain in Bassett, Virginia Grimes decided to get into the business of the track after his Sprint Series Va lost one title to another organization on a sprint weekly basis.
In 1996 1997, Bill Rice and Mike Williams have approached French about running a limited sprint VA Early in the series has used some of the same driving rules that were in effect in Ohio, who began 305 s run in the late 1980s.
Grimes thought and they started with a claim rule because everyone will stretch the rules a little after a while, they realize that what he thought wasn ta standard set with cast iron heads and Grimes asked again and he had an idea would change things a bit.
French contacted some old friends Brodix Cylinder Company They built a cylinder head that had the necessary changes, which would work with the block 305 Block 305 was chosen as default Grimes.
The block was not chosen because I think it was the largest block available, there were other seasons after consulting a lot of people in the junk business itГўв в ўs the thatГўв Â ўs engine worth less, no resale and there was more of the products and all that is why we went with the motor 305, Grimes said.
Grimes went further and it seems that because of his effort, sport has a good deal.

The cylinder head we use is a purpose built head for us; it is a piece of high quality ItГўв в ўs the same quality as Brodix product that cost twice as much, but they've essentially endorses the concept of a single-seater class low dollar using a specific header They were us much helped over the years to maintain the integrity of the head, Гўв Вќ Grimes said.
There is a lot of work that goes into track each lead to ensure that hasn head t falsified After being measured by Brodix, itГўв × ўs shipped to the French when they do more to measure and catalog the critical dimensions They can tell if itГўв в ўs been changed and the head was delivered and who possessed all the heads ItГўв в ўs amazing what a laborious process and it is the french that shows dedication to him.
Each region is formed to a procedure of a closed engine technology that can determine if the engine is legal, without taking part The procedure takes about 45 minutes and the engine is then sealed and not to be messed with na-season All difficulties are supported and the motor is again verify and seal again.
As for power, the engine will produce 425 horsepower and can be built with parts in stock less injector and magneto, the engine can be built for as little as 2000 or you can spend more.

I know this all sounds too good but the French have proof More than 100 engines were placed on the Dyno some were set up with the cost of heads more unwanted block with respect to engines with more than 15 000 them and they Dyno 10 to 12 horses.
That is why we have a set of tight expense on ItГўв motor в ўs not a crate engine, itГўв в ўs a spec engine, everyone can build, the rules are there and the free choice of rules the rules that exist in the French said Гўв Е only specified part is the cylinder head and cylinder head can not be molested ThatГўв в ўs which maintains the integrity of the pair if you want between Гўв Вќ engines.
The engine life is key to keep prices down in the long term.
French maintains you can still spend money if you want, but it doesnГўв в ўt seem necessary.
Гўв Е You can spend all kinds of money you want, you can run the engine with stock rods and a crank stock and they will live for 5 years to 25 races a year and require no maintenance, Grimes said Гўв Е We have more than 30 engines that were built rods shares; cranksets stock replacement and cast pistons that have more than 5 years on the 5 seasons, safe race and no maintenance other than the setting of the valves Гўв Вќ.

GrimesГўв в engines RaceSaver ÷ made a difference and many areas are running a real looking car sprint full size with a specification of engine and the number of competitors has increased.
Next week IГўв в ўll have Part 2 of this interview and interviews with Brian Carter, Rod Ort and Gene Frankert.
Carter is the financial director of the World Racing Group and is in his second year of racing for Regional series RaceSaver with Sprint Series Texas Ort, a former 410 racer to Mecca speaks Central Pa why he races in the series and Frankert on history of the ўs 305Гўв Ohio. AT

After not racing schedule in 2006, Scott Benic and Joe Darmofal co-owners of the Mid American Sprint MASS series began negotiations to sell the series two years Guy Webb owner of All Star Circuit of Champions as Darmofal.
We have reached a verbal agreement to sell it but we don t have even signed papers said Darmofal.

It wasn t by choice that the decision was taken to sell the show that an average of 31 8 cars per race for both seasons two Benic and Darmofal are businessmen who have benefited from being mass execution but it was time to pass the baton after using to run the show never took place.
It takes more hours in a week, or a month or a year to develop this thing one of us has the time to do so, said Darmofal The concept is very solid.
Darmofal is proud of the non-adversarial relationship he had with Benic race tracks You can call one of the race tracks and you will not hear a bad comment, not a single negative comment.
Darmofal said he was disappointed that they didn t the time to devote to the series it was successful, what we did, we did well, we didn not make enough of it we found it would take much more time and effort to develop the concept of the tracks that requires a lot of contacts in person and working the phone we just didn t have time because of pressure from our other businesses that we need to do is to find someone who will be able to take this concept and spend the time necessary to develop it we think it has potential diffidently.

MASS was created to provide affordable 2500 to win 300 to start the winged sprint car race in the region where he was largely absent specifically Illinois and Indiana and some of the smaller tracks in Ohio and Michigan He also helped tracks that ran sprint cars on a weekly basis to organize a special sprint car event without the risk of a handbag with senior pilots who aren t part of the tracks race week.
Dan Shetler never drove race cars with the wings so why start now, even if it was only driving experience.
Shetler, a native of Johnstown was invited to Las Vegas for the world of Outlaw final on the dirt track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Missy Geoff Arnold, one of the longtime SHETLER sponsors.
Arnold had a driving experience in a stock car at bodied LVMS last year while he was something different, Shetler was along for the ride, sort of speak both Arnold and thought they Shetler d like to try the Mario Andretti Racing school that uses IRL type racing machines After some time in the classroom, each student is paired with an instructor for the experience on the track.
According Shetler, it is all about following the instructions They want you to stay four to six cars behind the car of the instructor and follow the same line they run, Shetler explained long as you maintain the distance and track instructor, they keep increasing the speed, pick it up round after round.
After the first session and running laps around 150 miles per hour, Shetler said the eighth session of tower topped out at 165 miles per hour the time we had the second session, I was real to comfortable, but I guess because of the responsibility they have to watch what they train you it was a great experience, a learning experience, I will keep in sprint cars, it is my driveway, Shetler says May 29, 06.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I've never been so happy to see the sun shine Saturday at Sharon Speedway in a conductor, no one thought that we would see a race, at least not here and not Saturday.
You gotta hand it to everyone for their helicopter to Sharon's efforts owned Kirila Contracting used to dry the track and heavy equipment operated by Kirila Contracting used to essentially rebuild the track, Sharon pulled out the stops to she is ready to race WoO what people told me, the helicopter got there shortly after Vice President of media Relations Chris Dolack finished his interview with Hersh and me on KDKA Radio car around 14 hours just hovering a few feet above the ground, the helicopter and was there until about 6 I have seen many things, but it was the craziest thing I'd ever seen a racetrack period.
The track needed a lot of work and everyone understood what was to happen and everyone was patient enough, I think hell, I was happy that I was going to see a race after 10 days of rain.
It was good to see 44 sprinters are revealed with a good crowd in the stands The WoO 15 average, people were there and from Mercer Raceway Park would run modified Madness several teams including Bob Flemlee Arnie Kent, and Rod George made the trip with Carl Bowser and Cory Good.
Others included Tyler Walker in the number of Guy Forbrook 5 It seems that there are problems in paradise Wirtgen as Sammy Swindell was schedule to drive to Sharon, but a few days before decided to go see his son Kevin race Forbrook have been anyone in because it could be Sammy when they rushed in Charlotte Wednesday Tyler Walker was at the helm, but had engine problems and they were done for the night.

Kyle Moffitt and Mike Kekich both overturned and suffered major damage to their cars would return Kekich walked to the ambulance and was checked when the Terry McCarl track had a good race, but had mechanical problems in the last lap and was wounded by a failure of the chain kinematics causing cause a fracture of the left leg below replacement driver is considered to Charlotte and maybe beyond or maybe not Terry wants to return as soon as possible, which could be at the Grove Friday in case of replacement, the reader may come from Ohio.
Donny Schatz has had the opportunity for the driver to 50,000 Challenge Sharon Since Lernerville was rained out, Dave Blaney and WoO decided to give the winner of the most recent race, which was a blow to Grandview Tuesday Challenge the ND has made its way from position 24 when he met Jason Martin on the rear section and retired for the event.
Jac Haudenschild has done a good job outclassing Brooke Tatnell in a pretty good feature of 40 laps This was the second victory of the season in the Haud of Wright 35.
While the WoO made way Charlotte for a Wednesday night race, I will be at Lincoln Speedway for the race 54th birthday Wednesday with 410 sprints for 54 paying towers 5,400 to win cool is that, all payment positions ending in 54 and the fast qualifier gets 200 for the fastest lap during time trials.
Fred Rahmer won function number 146 in Lincoln on Saturday and Greg Hodnett led by 30 points and Chad Layton by 150 points I like Fred birthday Wednesday to win the race in Lincoln.

Thursday Susquehanna Speedway Park will be back in action when Greg Hodnett leads Chad Layton and Freddie quick 9 points and Lance Dewease by 15 This will be my first visit to the PHC this year and I'm looking forward to Thursday night race The WoO returns central Pa, but the first time in Williams Grove in 2006 for a 2-day event on Friday and Saturday, which should be another very competitive event like the Sharon race because the number of cars that could reach 40 cars.
Do not forget the Clash Reschedule Commonwealth Wednesday, May 31 at Lernerville It might not be part of the 50,000 challenge, but it should be a great show no matter most, with the possibility of some central guys Pa coming out for the middle the inclination week, it could be another show with nearly 40 sprints.
Planning sanctioning groups is always difficult, but 2006 is more difficult with the addition of NST The All Stars could not get the dates they aspired and settled on Saturday at Port Royal and the result was only 5 regulars All Star But you can not blame it all on the calendar between the decline of 410 sprint cars, fuel prices and too many paths and errands close to home, the teams aren t run the all stars.
Dale Blaney mentioned to me that there are 40 WoO 3 NST one gallon the pickup Dodge Ram Hemi gets only June 6 mpg pulling the sprint car trailer Oh, it gets better.
Rik doesn t really doesn know anyone in the area if his friend Daryl meets at Mercer now Darrell saw a little closer to Mercer that the 610 miles that Rik must lead by Darrell car its Raleigh, home Carolina North is just 564 miles from Mercer is it me or those guys hit there collective head.

No, it's the love of the sport and be good friends and having a woman understanding.
You just like the race to do Rik said, leaning on the top wing on his blue number 7 Shaw chassis When I was 13 I saw my first 410 race, I'm 43 now and I said one day I was going to do and this is my year to do 30 years later.
One reason for the trip so far is there is not a race 410 in the northeast.
They run 410 s t there, so if you like and want to play with something like that, you have to run the miles you need to tow Likowski explained here This is a great track; I met the owner Vicki Emig last time I've been here I pulled in everyone last week's been real support, I received a lot of help and I have not tow the house trailer, there are people who take care of the trailer for me so I just drive home without the trailer.
Rik is quick to point out why he can do, I'll do it as long as I can, and as long as I can keep the third woman and not a 4 traveling far, I have a ball It Sá thirty years dream I always wanted to run a 410 this year and I said Rik Before coming in southern Mercer Rik ran a 360 sprint car shows with SCONE sprint cars of New England and ESS.

His plan is to run the engine all year and with the support back in Hollis of his fans and sponsors, he'll do all year.
I have a lot of support at home, I'm a hairdresser, I a captive audience if they want to keep their ears Likowski with a laugh that I get a little money here and there a good attitude and a sense of humor to Rik fan favorite at Mercer Raceway Park and beyond.
Mercer Raceway Park has had 3 winners in 4 races, making a very competitive place Mercer Bob Felmlee has 2 wins, Arnie Kent and Saturday winner, Skip Jump Dougherty won his heat to heat he told his son Vinny, he would try to win for his 14th birthday, but he got better.
Needless to say, Skip was excited his third career victory and his first victories in other MRP Dougherty came to Sportsmen's and Challenger.
Keep the former racer Sprint Car Bill Bailey in your thoughts and prayers as he was in a serious motorcycle accident on Sunday, the last word, he was still at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh recover.
NEWSNOTESANDWHATNOT Bob Bennett returns to action last week at the PHC after his bad crash at Williams Grove Discover the new T-shirts Jimmy Siegel, Bob Bennett, Chris Shuttlesworth Justin Collett, Wells Josh and Bob Felmlee If you please drop me a line more details on shirts by Racewear we go we are out of time and space you see after Dave's return to the presidency of the slave driver publisher in weeks 3 June 06 .

Jimmy Weller III leaves 410 s to return to Big Block Mods.
Jimmy Weller III never doubted he would return to the race, it was not your question of when, he just did not know in which division Unless complications with a CT scan taken last weekend, Weller III Hahn will be strapping on his device and competition in the Ferrante Motor Cars Modified when Lernerville Speedway opens March 31.
specialist well known orthopedic Dr. Terry Trammel in Indianapolis informed the friendly old driver of 19 years Liberty, Ohio that Trammel Weller prefer not return to the winged sprint car because of the obvious dangers Trammel not clear Weller to return to sport as some security measures were in place.
Weller's injury took place October 13, 2004, while competing in USAC car event of non-wing sprint to the dirt track at Lowe's Motor Speedway While Weller doesn not remember much after the incident, he remember tell the hospital staff what was happening at the time of the incident.
I do not remember anything Weller told me when I was in rehab the lady asked me why I was here, I told him everything, we were leading, we fell back a place and I was trying to get the point back outside, took a rut and hit the wall the next day, I did not remember a thing.
The return of Weller in sport began at the end of last summer with a few practice laps in a Sprint Car green flag a limited sprint car class on Sharon circuit.

I was practicing in August, which was the first time in a year that I felt normal again Weller, I told thought to be hurt when I pulled on the track, to be a little careful about that, but once I hit the trail I never thought about it again without a doubt Weller life has changed in fact, it made me grow awfully fast Weller said before all this happens, I did not think of many things now it makes me think about things, I enjoy every day that I'm here to walk you realize how quickly things can be gone until something happens that you might be gone a day Weller paused and explained how he goes about his return from injury.
I have a few restrictions now, not much, but there are things I have to be careful, they'll slowly when I practiced in the green flag car that was the only time I ever really thought about everything that I had a handy thing, and that was all I thought I do not think constantly about, I can talk, but do not think about it sometimes, you realize that you've gone through I thank all God all day for what I have and yet I am able to return to the Modified after a year of 410 Sprint Car Racing is really the only option that Weller had conferred with Trammel after.
Since Trammel said he highly, highly recommended Weller didn t return to sprint car because they spill much as they do the big Mod block appeared to be the best way for Weller back to racing from Papa Jim Weller Jr has a second car, I'll start Lernerville then Sharon Speedway when it opens, we may see that I will run in Tri-City, and Weller said I really wanted to return to a dream of Jimmy Weller modified race as hasn t off a career just because it isn t race a sprint car more.
I want to do for a living; I like to run more than any other thing I want to do for the rest of my life Weller said if I could run with the sprint cars, if I would have run with the Outlaws I would have been happy as can be but now since this option is out of the way I'll go the other Weller said another way Jimmy explains that he is to spend some time this summer asphalt test the latest models Speedway near Lake Erie Every time we go, I'll attend some driving schools on asphalt pavement and some buddies run late models and ASA Hooters Cup and they've offered to let me do some tricks Weller is thankful for her family and friends and all the support he has received phone calls, letters and cards.

You do not realize how people are until something like this happens, the side I saw everyone was awesome Weller said that I read in each of more than 800 cards and letters and I read through them everyone from time to time, it is amazing.
DIRT MotorSports announced last week that the former West Pa native son Ben Geisler legend Late Model Dirt Lynn Geisler joined the organization as Executive Vice President of Operations.
Ben Geisler, who resided in Atlanta, Ga everything with Next Marketing Inc. said he was happy to return to racing on dirt track and is eager to listen to everyone in an effort to track racing land generally better Geisler says he'll be back in western Pa April 7 WoO Dirt Late Model event on Lernerville circuit.
DIRT MotorSports will hold an open house on Saturday Lernerville system of 1 to 5 hours, the ten drivers in the four divisions will receive points fund checks and plaques and trophies.

The weekend at Port Royal Speedway Tuscarora 50 is always a pleasure to watch Craig Rutherford and public relations staff go out of their way to cover the event a piece of cake, or in my case, pie.
The 50 and the night before it was just part of Juniata County and defining good food turkey dinner Lutheran Church, the many deserts offered by all school groups at Port Royal Fire Department What is good eatin and race happened to be in the middle of it.
Dan Shetler Johnstown passed its second weekend in Fran and Tom Chiappelli number 98 J the team plans during the low season to be aggressive with their engine program Tom Chiappelli said.
To hear Fred Rahmer talk about Joe Harz, the owner of 88h, it reminds me of the days of car owners, well before the owner Harz driver working age while his car was on the track and the boys had fun Harz is giving sprint car game, but decided to go out on Fred won races 27 and 28 last weekend at the Port-royal Joe team won and damn near Knoxville Everyplace else they went this year five.
It is a hell of a team with Rahmer and Tim Elwell They remembered as one of the best ever to run in Central Pa and elsewhere since this goes.
Regarding the news on the WoO will, developers gathered at Eagle was canceled by the Word WoO them all drivers, but four drivers at the start, agreeing to come off the WoO but one of the 4 drivers changed notice then another from what I understand, two dissenting drivers are in the top 10 new series have been 60 races scheduled in 2006 Conversely, the accumulated dirt apparently already 30 runs on their 2006 calendar to Stay listening, it will be interesting, but not necessarily good for the sport.

It was great to see Duval and Cherri Dressler again it was several years and several trips to the hospital for two I had the chance to spend time with former heads of Kars gang What a great group of people and riders who have KARS lot of fun to be around Thanks for brownies and laughter Good luck with your Duval drivers deliver a bearing license.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ford family, Fremont Speedway Promoters With Doug Ford still in hospital and Randy recovering from his accident last summer, Jim Ford has decided to cancel the rest of the season in Fremont and for a very good reason Get well wishes both Doug and Randy Ford.
Do not forget the Gold Crown races ahead at Lernerville weekend a bunch of good race will happen with the MACS Late Models on Friday and the BRP Modified and the All Stars Saturday.
The rain, disappearing rain was the cry at the 45th Knoxville Nationals as many nights multi night program was emotional by time It also seems that maybe if someone might have a second chance at running the night program Thursday from where it rained out rather than re-running again all night on Friday and push Friday program on Saturday afternoon, which has pleased also.
Knoxville Raceway annihilated all night on Thursday, the 5th and final current heat stroke, almost halfway through the rains came and that was that everything was cleared, including qualifications, except a new record established track Terry McCarl now that art В If interesting qualification was deleted, how many times can be 1 driverвЂ.
The program underway Sunday afternoon with blurs that always seem to make or break someone's Nationals effort.

To make a long story short, Kraig Kinser and Brian Paulus up line 1 The rest of the order to the 45th Knoxville Nationals Donny Schatz, Chad Kemenah, Range 3 Shane Stewart, Danny Lasoski, Range 4 Brooke Tatnell, Randy Hannigan online 5 Billy Alley and fast Fred Rahmer row 6 Jeremy Campbell and Joey Saldana, Lance Dewease, Craig Dollansky form line 7 В line 8 Kerry Madsen, Stevie Smith, row 9 Steve Kinser and Terry McCarl and line 10 Skip Jackson and Wayne Johnson.
The D-main were some notable is like TJ Stutts, Mike and Bob Bennett Erdley Unfortunately, none of them have advanced C Main.
Ed Lynch Jr. won the C-scramble, finished 2nd in promoting C-major at the tail of B-main, where he would eventually blow a motor end of its nationals.
In the B Main, Ricky Logan was hit with a piece of 15 pounds of mud which pinned his foot against the frame rail It would reopen the B-Main.

The main-B was played studded with Jason Solwold and Tim Shaffer in row 1 Daryn Pittman started in row 2, but didn t not lose last time the winner of the Don Martin Memorial for 2nd place.
Jac Haudenschild has a job slides Tim Kaeding to finish fourth after starting 15th, making the transfer it will be 12 Knoxville Nationals A-main Kenny Jacobs s Jac†ended his Knoxville race in the B-main finishing 11th Hats  off the mouse, Kenny Jacobs.
Well, it probably does not have the national best ever, but it was what it was, a classic An old beat 20-year veterans and handily beat.
I know someone who wrote last week about this young man and how he could jump and shoot it off, and he did this.
Here's what I wrote last week, read and weep, Gino.
This brings us to my Knoxville Nationals can t miss choices With a new job and a lot of home remodeling is done, it's not a good time to leave town Well, there's always next year.

As I do with my choice of Speedweek, everyone can choose the favorite course, my first two choices would be Danny Lasoski and Steve Kinser but too easy.
I mentioned my black horse to a friend the other day and he said that he agreed in general with me, but he thought I was away this time and I could be, but what 'hell.
Last year Chad Kemenah ran very well last year and was rewarded with a 2nd place can win 15 Kemenah Knoxville, why not.
The other driver whose chances that I really like is Kraig Kinser The heir to the throne Kinser, Kraig has done a great job with 5 wins and currently serves 4 points WoO Kraig attended Knoxville enough to know how to move Midwest Mecca mud 15 May 05.
Don t look now, but it's the month of May, and you know what that means, time to start swapin drivers.
News began to surface that Jac Haudenschild was enough and it was time to take his place and move on to the record, I think Jac Haudenschild and Jack Elden agree, I'm not sure everyone .

Several other drivers have offered the 22 car before Dale Blaney Blaney took the tower had been conducted sprinter George Fisher for the last weeks before landing 22 ride It seems that the 22 car needs one key and only time tell if they are able to very successfully united team, George Fisher and Dale Blaney.
Meanwhile, Kevin Huntley will be the driver of the sprint car 2b Fisher It just seems that Haud deserved a better fate at least we know that drivers are occasionally look at each other Haud plans to launch 29 Pullins Motorsports Maxim was led by Tony Elliott Saturday at KC Raceway for the Ohio Challenge, after a person is to guess the experience with Tony Elliott didn t work as the car owner Ray Pullins that was the agreement when we did Pullins says I can t give you months to learn what you tell me that you can do well, we do s that didn t work between Elliott, non-wing driver and owner of the Waverly winged sprint car is right back in business Pullins, bought a Charlie Fisher engine for the new Maxim chassis, it hopes to get a driver that has the experience it takes to win races in the Buckeye state.
Haud have a good chance of KC Raceway when the world Outlaws will take the All Stars in what will be the points race for the two groups All Star drivers will show money for their efforts and they'll get to race against the best business.
Speaking of a team that has been changing drivers, Wright had 35 Travis Rilat behind the wheel at the last race WoO I do not know why so many changes, but maybe we will find more when the WoO DIRT Motorsports rolls into Lernerville Speedway next week this time last year, Danny Wood, got the gig it's been downhill from there Mark Kinser had a shot and left Peter Murphy was in the car anyone remember recently Jonathan Allard.

And speaking of Danny Wood, one of the sports all-time good guys won a very good lap in the Phillips 66 Trop Artic Cort Grandstaff When a guy landed a ride, usually a driver loses Such is the case with the too Artic 66 sprint car Billy Alley, Lincoln, NEB, got the tower after being vacated by Brooke Tatnell Alley, a former 360 Rookie of the year, and Knoxville 360 champion, took a chance and apparently just didn t meet expectations Grandstaff.
You might have heard the news that Ohio Speedweek has a change of venue; Wayne County Speedway was replaced by Muskingum County Speedway.
I'll have my usual overview Speedweek next month's All-Star race in Fremont Saturday night was good with lots of action While all the stars champion Chad Kemenah had to go hard in the race for warmth, he came out with a lead thin 2 points Danny Smith Smith had stopped on the track in the function but returned through the field and came home with a 5th place hard earned.
Do not forget to pick one of the many new models Racewear shirt sprint teams because this weekend, including new designs by John Ivy and next weekend for former Pa now Kenny regular USCS Adams central.

Even before the western Pa race 2005 season started, I have committed my first mistake in the last issue of this fine publication, I wrote Brian Ellenberger ran 1 JEI chassis in western Pa this season with Brian's return to the sport.
Well, I was wrong as pointed out one of the crew members Andy McKisson McKisson The camp took delivery of the first two JEI s just before the s National Knoxville Andy exposes the mountain for the rest the 2005 campaign I apologize to the team 0 for error.
The chassis JEI is a proven piece, creating Barry Jackson has already won a few races and it seems the Carlisle, Pa company has a bright future, I'm glad I brought Andy McKisson Barry Jackson Motorsports 2004 show and I ' hope Andy can give Jackson his first victory for a team that is based in western Pa.

The weather was down right awful for the first weeks of the 2005 season Lincoln Speedway finally got underway two weeks later than planned because of the weather and opens March 12 was a good Fred Rahmer stemmed opener with the next two weekly programs in Lincoln before a week off for rain, then finally stopped Doug Esh fast Freddy streak to three in a row for the record, Rahmer finished third behind Esh and Brian Montieth.
One of the nicest things I've seen for a long time since I started watching the races in 1967 was the car feature win 305 sprint opener Lincoln 70 Cowboy Jim Kennedy.
Cowboy picked up a Maxim raced cars on winter and then passed to the Lincoln area with the greatest ease Kennedy came from behind and passed Rod Ort, and fought against Dusty Shatzer for victory.
In the victory of cowboy way was greeted by cheering fans and some of the biggest snowflakes I d never seen The Voice of Speedway Lincoln Wayne Harper got Cowboy to perform his yodeling brand in the way of the victory among the snowflakes that was one for the ages undoubtedly one of the coolest racing game for ever without words.
At Williams Grove Speedway, Fred Rahmer delivered two victories during the opening weekend that Fred took the win at the Grove and Lincoln.

Fred series of victories Grove arrested a week number two was won by Mr. Excitement Todd Shaffer number three weeks went to regular URC Justin Collett The student won a nice way to surprise victory over a Fred Rahmer and Kevin Nouse charging hard.
Last Friday Mark Smith won the victory to Williams Grove and Chad Layton took Gain Number 50 in the 358 sprint cars at Williams Grove With four different winners in as many weeks, shows that at Williams Grove, we have not a dominant team in 2005 While it is still early, this trend may continue if we consider that drivers like Lance Dewease, Greg Hoddett Jeff Shepard, Donnie Kreitz and some others have still won t haven peace Grove and it will be interesting for you.
Barry Jackson JEI chassis have two wins in Williams Grove in 2005, after only four races Todd Shaffer and Justin Collett went to JEI s and it paid dividends for both veteran and young Shaffer Collett.
At Port Royal Speedway, the third time to try the opener was the charm for Mark Smith as he picked up his second victory of the weekend Smith Zemco Maxim finished ahead of Kevin Nouse Rick Lafferty, Todd Shaffer and Keith Kaufman .
On Friday night at the opening Lernerville Speedway, Ed Lynch Jr biding his time and waited for the moment while in lapped traffic lap 13 to pass Jack Sodeman Jr to pass Victory Rod George Ed Lynch earlier this function was really impressive but could not hold off the defending champion Rod George Search Lernerville running a Maxim chassis on tires Hoosier be hunting Lernerville in 2005.

Jack Sodeman Jr. of Butler, Pa made his season debut in the number 49 orange which is owned by Jeff we remove for you all.

A RPM Racing News we aren t the only s singing Back in the saddle, I learned that two veterans made a return to the sprint car ranks 410 in western Pa.
Brian Ellenberger of Butler, Pa has a new chassis built by Barry Jackson JEI Carlisle, Pa Ellenberger Mount JEI will be the first in western Pa and I think this could be a significant advance from Jackson.
Ellenberger of JEI will be powered by a Don Ott engine that Brian had lent Dean Jacobs last year The engine will be refreshed and Ellenberger love his new combination Although not yet chosen a number and color of the car, you can bet that Ellenberger will compete two nights a week, he has competed a firm timetable has yet been set.
It's been since 1999 when we saw the last one flight Franklin, Pa Bob Felmlee competition in western Pa in a sprint car Felmlee was injured in a nasty accident on the Tri-City circuit in 1999 which sidelined the popular driver Franklin.
Bob has been declared healthy enough to participate in motocross if after several seasons on a moped, he is ready to return the car to sprint ranks Felmlee was approached in 2004 about driving to someone else, it is out and bought a new seat Butler Built, helmets and a camera Hahn, but the deal fell through.

So having personal safety equipment, Felmlee decided he would do himself and contacted Chad Hill whose owner has been selling all equipment used Chad in 2004.
I have an engine at the moment, and Bob Kriner has this and it should be done within a week or two, we have three chassis and a Maxim two JI know I had the best equipment I had in my career at this stage and also the best sponsor support I'm also probably busting one of the best western Pa sprint car teams has ever seen, but you have to draw the line somewhere, I can not race forever Smith Explain.
The transition to retirement is about to free up time, nothing else really Jamie has a daughter of 15 months a Harley 4 years with only 2500 miles on it and the desire to go fishing and all that it would do.
Smith said he'll miss the competition, but unless a ride quality is offered to veteran driver, he'll be glad to be an older driver We will always remember him as Champion 1 July 05.

Jimmy Weller III begins again this time it is not in another type of race car, but in a familiar environment, his own home.
The beloved, the young former soft voice changed driver Big Block who decided which car sprint a few seasons ago suffered injuries to the head and neck during a car sprint event on October 13 USAC Dirt Track at Lowe Motor Speedway in Concord, C. N
After seven week stay at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N C. Weller recently returned from Liberty, Ohio, to continue his recovery and rehabilitation.
Weller says he feels better every day and he used his hasn t Walker for some time, but there is always someone nearby incase you happen to lose his balance, it works pretty well, progress is slow but safe.
After being unconscious for six days Weller said he doesn not really remember anything for four weeks he was in the hospital, he does not remember things if someone reminds him of them.
Doctors said Jimmy after the surgery, he would be in rehab for several months Her determination had him in rehab at the hospital and on the way back after only two weeks.

To hear his voice, his laugh, it doesn t sound like a 19 year old who had his world changed in a racing accident If you have already talked to Jimmy, you know how the car lot, he loves racing sprint and how determined he is to be the best it can be in the seat.
Well, this decision has not changed Weller knows it will be a long road, but he intends to return to race in 2006.
Determining Jimmy has rubbed off on his family, his friends and the fans A group led by Linda Barlow and Chad Wagner has established a collection benefit fund to help defray medical expenses.
Weller said he thinks he'll be able to make an appearance at the event which will take place on January 9 to 1 to 5 microns in Tully pub and banquet hall Grid in the Quaker Steak and Lube complex Sharon, Pa.
Admission is 10 per person and includes a choice of select items entrйҐ 50 50 drawing and a silent auction will feature various items donated by local speedways, NASCAR drivers and Quaker Steak and Lube, including two tickets and stands before the race moves to the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 21 Jimmy Weller profit T-shirts and stickers will also be selling NASCAR driver Dave Blaney hopes to make an appearance.

Jimmy Weller III is a real competitor through and through, he was counted before, but he showed a lot of resilience, mental strength and courage Please come out and show your support Jimmy and how much you appreciate in as a person and a runner.
In 2004, 410 - Chad Hill sprint car driver was making its presence felt in several Western Pa and Ohio speedways After a good first half of the 2004 season Hill had some bad luck, it is down, but it was does not by any means.
main sponsor of Hill True Image Tattoo signed in 2003 a contract for two years While his performance on the track was exceptional, 17 top 3 finishes before July 1st It didn t matter that the hill was second 9 times in 17 races Ed Lynch Jr its sponsor could stay until 2004.
The owner of the car Hill had some unfortunate circumstances occur in autumn 2004 The flooding of Hurricane Ivan and other circumstances beyond anyone's control found them unable to return to the sport Even a fairly successful season, they just aren t able to provide the type of equipment that Chad was running in the use of the past and now everything is up for sale.

Now Chad Hill is a man with a round in 2005 If a team needs a driver on the rise, Hill is a good fit because of his personal situation with his business, he can go to Pa, Central Ohio or go on the road if a tour with the All stars or MASS and bring something to the case if someone would give him a chance.
I'm not where near retirement; I want to run with the All Stars and the Outlaws is most guys are so fast, I would run east There is so much more competition to the east, we have a guy who dominates here in the east, they have ten guys who are tough every night said Hill.
The face of the west sprint race Pa is changing with these events and the news of Jamie Smith Jet can sit next season, I'll have more news on Jamie Smith next week at FANR December 20 04.
Well, a lot has happened since the final checkered flag flew sprint car season silly season only covered cars and drivers to Boundless Motor Sports Inc ka DIRT Motor Sports came and decided to buy many tracks and racing organizations.

Don t think for a minute DIRT is only buying Late Model organizations They will acquire the group said they feel will work best for the bottom line on the road.
The whole situation reminds me of the 70's rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive song hit you ain t seen nothing yet.
DIRT also buy the track properties as well as sanctioning bodies Besides working and Lernerville Wheels, look at least two other tracks to be considered by DIRT.
I like the idea about the new project of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Hall of Fame on the Speedway site Lernerville if for no other reason than to add to the importance of sport speedways.
Speaking of Lernerville This is my first opportunity to thank Helen Patty and Donnie for all their years of support to our sport They carried on the tradition that Don Martin has established and they should be very proud of what they accomplished I hope we get to see the races and the role of Donnie a consultant will be utilized.

Speaking of Lernerville Tom Roenigk was present at the PRI show in Indianapolis, and he and Barb Bartley has signed an agreement Saturday, December 10 for Lernerville Motor Sports Inc. to operate the fast track in 2005.
DIRT Motor Sports V P Craig Cormack treaty negotiations with the site that will Roenigk Barb and Tom continue to run sprints Fab Four, Late Model, Modified and Pure Stocks weekly racing program.
WoO Sprint Car Lernerville appear on May 20, 21 again on July 19 for the Don Martin Memorial and last Saturday, October 4, 2004.
This was very good news for receiving the 2005 season gets closer every day and the new will allow teams to prepare for the coming season It also requires users of the message board to remain on other issues .

I was disappointed to learn that the two Thunder Valley Raceway and Speedway Gambler will not work in 2005 TVR reopen in 2006 under the same management as Deanna Will I haven t heard much about this Gambler s point; I'm sure more information will soon surface.
True Mercer Raceway Park is on sale, but this writing there is no official word that the track had been sold Rumors had surfaced last week that the track had been sold but the rumor was not true t I'm sure you'll hear a lot of rumors in the coming weeks Vicki Emig working again this track in 2005 if the track isn t sold and it will be as usual less some special race events.
I know it's a sprint car column and Pennsylvania Motor Speedway HASN t run sprints for a few years, but as an FYI, it has not been much news lately exactly who operate the track, the word is that we know more after December 31, 2004 it would be great if PMS could experience a racing sprint 410 next year if there is a change in direction of the highway.
Central Pa ended 2004 with a change like Lance Dewease and Al Hamilton separated after the last race at Lincoln Speedway replaced Al Lance Greg Hodnett shortly after the announcement of the split Lance Dewease raced to the final in Hagerstown Barry Jackson s number 8 YIC chassis and a power plant Bob Kriner.

Although there was much discussion that Lance would run the number 8 in 2005 that the chatter has been rested for last week when it was announced that Lance Dewease and Pete Postupack team will meet in 2005 the number of Postupack 25 was driven by several pilots in recent seasons Kevin Nouse was in the car in 2004.
Jeff Shepard was planning to be in 8 JEI chassis in 2005 when the number 12 Apple Motorsports Maxim's seat was vacated by Lee Stauffer Hodnett is the guy's head on the number 12 team took some time before appointing Shepard to drive one of the slickest walks in sport, which should be the most interesting of all new combinations.
While the PRI show, I spoke with several central Pa drivers on their plans for 2005 Brook Weibley expected to return in 2005; but a timetable has not been finalized Mark Coldren is planning on running 50-60 shows 9 competitive title in 2005 in his own 07 Maxim Brandon Weibley will act as team leader for the 07 and get a shot lead on 07 6 10 races the team plans on racing at Williams Grove the week and will also compete on the circuit Selinsgrove.
Other drivers I spoke included Jim and Steve Siegel Jim will start the season in his car in 2004, then move to a new J both of Fremont lead his mount on the Tour All Star The Smith's were the team ultimate car sprint low BUCK makes towing and on the road after a few years on the run, Brian returned to the car speed race in a car 305 sprint Attica and Fremont in 2004, Brian has had a huge year by winning points titles Attica and Fremont.

He first thought Brian and his team would step 305 to 410 rows As often happens, the plans have changed and the team decided not to move Brian secondly still wanted to move so he went to looking for a new team While aren t complete plans seek Brian Smith in the race once the car 410 sprint s good news for car fans sprint NW Ohio and bad news for local competitors read on here for more details when they become known.
Word began to filter Kenny Jacobs will be back on the road in 2005 with the All Stars after running in Pa center in 2004 Jacob's would take the 2H number car the reins Rob Hunter In 2004, Rob's brother Tim 2H leads to a sixth place in the point a little luck, more news will come.

For fans who have never visited Path Valley Speedway Park, will be pleasantly surprised at all the close racing action at the speedway hospitality staff When the fans before the track at the front door They were given the opportunity to serve as a big bowl of candy in celebration of Halloween.
Speculation on several expressways Ohio and western Pa continues to be a hot topic Motor Speedway Pa Pittsburgh could have things finalized before sources close to the situation have linked no date has been provided on the website of the track of this writing.
While Lernerville Speedway announced their annual 37th Lernerville Price Banquet will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Days Inn, south of Butler on Highway 8.

Rossburg, Eldora Speedway in Ohio was rumored to have been sold, but no official word on who will own and operate the fastest dirt track in the world was announced The only thing that's official is that the promoter Earl Baltes took retirement.
Rumors continue to swirl around several expressways that can be sold if the owners promoters receive offers that are too good to pass more about that in future columns 11 September 04.
Wow, what a long race weekend with as many races taking place without weather getting in the way I had my doubts for a few minutes on Friday night on the circuit Lernerville when some thugs showers came through, but didn t impact on the show.
Bauman Memorial was a sanctioned All Star event with 52 cars on hand that tied the season record for entries with 8 May 2004 Speedway Fremont All Star race had 52 entries at the beginning of the season and return All Stars Circuit Fremont racing with next Saturday, September 11 for their last appearance of the season.
While Bauman Memorial was won by Jeff Shepard in dominating fashion, the story of the weekend could be Dean Jacobs in the Webb 51 Eagle.

Jacobs was shocked right back down and he still managed to hold the second holding Dale Blaney in the Fritz Andrews number 72 to Blaney Bay had a good race, but after starting on the pole, it was a little disappointed finishing third.
Shepard had a close call of its heat when Barry Jackson JEI chassis ran out of fuel Shepard said they just didn t have enough fuel in him, but he didn t matter, as he qualified for the A-Main by finishing the fourth machine powered Kriner was no worse for wear as he just blow on the field for his second win Bauman Memorial.
The annual samedi Sharon 24 Nationals was in the books with a first time race winner Bobby Clark as Fremont, Ohio took the lead with two laps to go on Dean Jacobs for an impressive victory.
Clark, who won many races everywhere, just doesn t get as much as he used to.
We now mainly local race, there was a time when I used to run around so it is not like I'm new to this, I just t go out and travel with these guys, we can not really afford to do what Clark before action on Sunday nights Sharon is the end of the year and we have refreshed the engine so we wanted to get some of the biggest shows.
Clark is grateful for Andy Potter aboard his mechanic is not a guy in the stands here that wouldn t like to have help Andy said M. Clark.

Clark could pass Dean Jacobs with two laps to go Saturday for victory on a very well prepared by several car owners and drivers race track.
I ran everywhere and that kind of track just suits me better Clark said naturally a more comfortable driver, you're probably better off you'll be Clark said.
Night two of Sharon nationals brought 44 cars by the door down some of the 50 cars on Sportsman Speedway Saturday night in Knox, Pa had 24 cars that had their highest number of sprint cars for their short season.
The few cars didn t affect the action as Jeff Shepard showed the boys how it was done again win two of the three All Star races Shepard weekend thought maybe they didn t do it best tire choice on Saturday night but wasn ta problem on Sunday.

My guys did a great decision on tires tonight we missed them a bit Shepard last night then said in victory lane.
It was good to see the Great One Dale Blaney, torn out of a race car trouble after it is mounted on the rear tire in 2004 Attica champion Mark Keegan who had slowed down a right rear tire flat Blaney and Keegan was ok but the both cars were retired for the night.
I'll have more on Jeff Jet Shepard and the team Barry Jackson Bob Kriner in the column next week.

Speed Week South Iowa includes all sprint races, with and without wings at the track and points Knoxville Iowa Speedway South are earned for each night of the race for teams that run more races with high finishes can collect the money and Mr. Sprint car title.

To return to the Nationals preview you do not have to go far down the list of previous winners citizens to choose the winner of the 2004 Nationals While it is easy to choose Steve Kinser or Danny Lasoski to win, there aren t many others that will challenge both.
Apart from King and the Man, the list is quite short and Karl Mark Kinser have Beef Dennis Roth Packer Maxim running very well, they should be on the Sammy Swindell list would next like Sammy won three races this WoO season in two different cars Sammy won the race in Eldora WoO last Friday in its own number 1 car was white with a Kistler Sammy power even took the wing out of the race Mopar million Saturday at Eldora and finished second Kevin Huntley.
Third on the list is Donny Schatz The fat kid, but cigarette will be in the hunt again this year, but that bad luck or make a mistake could end his chances.
The others, some call the contenders would be Terry McCarl, Craig Dollansky and Joey Saldana.
No small guy like Tim Shaffer, Chad Kemenah, Kenny Jacobs, Dale Blaney, Paul McMahan, Jason Sides Lance Dewease, Fred Rahmer and many, many others, Knoxville is just different, you have a super strong combination to win this While running twenty four cars are racing several teams have their best Nationals ever, but the list of guys who can win are few.

The local contingent of riders headed to Knoxville includes Ed Lynch Jr Chad Hill, Ralph Spithaler Andy McKisson, Mike Lutz and Brent Matus.
Of all the drivers headed to Knoxville Chad Hill has the largest battle up the hill, no pun intended.
While Chad Hill has two wins this year on the circuit Lernerville J n I not feel that I'll be able to get too comfortable in what I would be in Maxim Hill said.
The fourth-year driver will continue to operate Kriner engines in his new car.

The WoO rolled into town on Tuesday and while it was a little cast, it didn t rain nt If you go to the race because it always rains, then you should get you a few times, you should know now that there is one and i mean no one who can tell you if its going to rain or not, at least not on Tuesday in may when the Outlaws visit Lernerville.
One of the first people I came across the Lernerville track was Boundless Motorsports COO Bobby Hartslief Hartslief advised me that a first WoO disciplinary hearing would be held later Tuesday afternoon because of the on and off incidents track that occurred during the event WoO Princeton, MN Wow, how crazy is that a disciplinary hearing for the WoO in pattern Lernerville Speedway Lernerville had many early s with Lernerville WoO was the first track an event of the series Gumout It is usually the first track where drivers of changes take place in the spring was also the first track Pa to keep WoO Dirt Late Models See what i mean.

The hearing was held after three incidents that occurred the previous weekend at the event WoO Princeton, MN Dave Helm, owner of 11H led by Paul McMahan lodged a complaint according to the press WoO press against Craig Dollansky After WoO examined the racing stripes, they agreed with the WoO Helm and Dollansky was fined and placed on probation for six race beginning with the event Lernerville Speedway.
Another objection was raised by Steve Kinser, owner of 11K led by Kraig Kinser against Dollansky This time the crowd Pleaser was exonerated from all objections Steve Kinser.
The third and last case on record was WoO rules out breach track Saturday night in Princeton against Steve Kinser Supposedly Steve Kinser was a face to face at the scale house with Craig Dollansky then Dollansky was still sitting in the No. 7 Maxim King was fined for the incident and that was that.
Just an FYI, all fines will be paid Outlaws Sprint Car Drivers Global Fund Benevolent.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Hank Gentzler of Hank's Performance Products had died after struggling against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ALS or what is more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease Hank and his wife Denise was a device in the area stalls many sprint car races across the country for years, but more often on their turf from central Pennsylvania most of the time, you can find Hank near the car of one of his closest friends, Lance Dewease.
Dewease commented his friend party We loved him, he and I became friends there fifteen years before it ever helped me with the race car has been some time trying years for him and it is in a better place now he will be able to walk and look down on all of us and stand up and smile, enjoy what we're going to race here because the art he would have wanted we are doing and we will try our best to win this thing tonight and if not tonight when you get home to try to put a show on for the fans and trying to make him an Outlaw win s been forty days he was in a race, he lived and exhale race.
Asked Gentzler relations Dewease, Lance added that it was always a thinker It's funny because we are both similar and we're both a little bull's head, I guess that was the reason which we got along so good, we did not pulled punches them if he thought he was right or if I thought I was right, we would tell each other that we grew up real close and the last two years, we got real close when the disease took a turn down for him, he liked the race and he helped a lot of people, he loved the sport from the start.
Henry Hank Gentzler Jr. died at the age of 45 If you want to make a contribution Memorial, there are several organizations that were selected by the family's dining National Sprint Car of Fame and Museum, PO Box 347, Knoxville, Iowa 50138 ; or York County Racing Club v o Pilot Wounded Fund, 568 Yale Street, York, Pa 17403; or Southern Care Hospice Inc., 340 Highland Dr. Suite 200.

NEWNOTESANDWHATKNOT Mark Kinser while not a member of 15 average has race plans to all tracks that they feel comfortable with what Mark Aren t tire eater believes the region well treats the fans are great and racetracks are impressive, they say, pretty smooth and racey said the pilot veteran Lernerville and Williams Grove plans of the team in the race 45 times this season, running on the WoO circuit Sharon Friday, June 4 could happen, but they will be on tour Eldora on Saturday, June 5 Danny Lasoski was less than 100 percent, the Dude was recovering from two broken ribs he was again wounded in Princeton, WoO event Lasoski film car debut in Shrek 2 Williams Grove on Thursday the car with the die cast cars and t-shirts were a great success with children of all ages and sizes Stop the trailer for Remember Lasoski on Sharon circuit that sells redi and watch Janet, wife of Davey Whitworth running back just try to fill in all r series for Shrek 2 things Sammy Swindell had planned to run a few races after the race in Grove Lernerville and Williams, but had engine problems wood through three engines that sent the car Beaver tool in mid-west Dale Blaney was Rip's All Star tour recently back to back wins in Wayne County Attica Raceway Park Friday at Attica, it looked like Dale old the number 72 Fritz Andrews flew around the top as Dale did when he was driving the 94 Hughes Back entrance Motor sports in 1995 and 1996 there is much to comment but I'll save it for future Dean Jacobs led his own number number 27 Maxim DJR last week in the All Star race several former car owners and friends are helping Dean number is his son football jersey number Cody Cody will soon ride if agreement that I mentioned just a few weeks ago by I spoke with Bob Flemlee to Tri-City Speedway Sunday and he did not look like he'll be done ac ome back after broke his neck there a few years ago personal call Bob Good Fellow RPM writer Rick rarer and I took a little trip this week Friday, he was out of Attica for the event ASCOC Then came the race Saturday Woo the track that claims it Sá Nothing easy installation media could be further from the truth, I'm sure you can understand which track I sound like neither one of us ever go back or write about them again we have seen the race, it was interesting and I apologize that I can not tell you all the details that I know the event, but since we didn t recognize their media title of the track you the fan race loses didn t have to be that way, but how the management of the track feel about the media and how they feel the fans and it is true that plans WoO on reducing its program in 2005, I vote that this piece to be one of the victims planning as always, stay safe and see you at the Palace of Dirt Track Racing, Speedway Sharon WoO Friday for the event and probably on the Lincoln circuit Saturday stay safe and me drop a line to May 20, 04.
The WoO means 15 are set to invade Pa and the first stop is on the track Tuesday Lernerville While Sprint cars are always the same, most of the names have been added to the tour of the top of the organization Boundless runners.
A new addition to the Boundless organization is Craig Cormack Cormack works Eagle Raceway Lincoln Nebraska Now he works with the tour and may well be with the group when they head to the east.
Another staff WoO Lyle in 2004 was Barney who is the new director Bill Barney Lyle Competition is a Western Pa guy who paid his dues and made its way to the top sprint car sanction worldwide.
The average 15 Kraig Kinser bring Erin Crocker, Jonathan Allard and others who WoO race at Lernerville some for the first time.
The show Lernerville WoO could produce a first-time winner in 2004, who in this period last year won a race or two.

In 2003, Danny Lasoski won six races before the race in May at Lernerville Tim Shaffer, a former champion of the Lernerville track won two and Donny Schatz won two races and being then won the Lernerville function in a thriller.
So you can see, some guys are due WoO But, and it's a big but don t count on some local guys to know Ed Lynch Jr. and Hill Chad Both are running well everyone and have already won this season at the time will tell Lernevrille but you will not want to miss Check out the track website for details.
Another partial weekend erased by rain in many parts of the country the WoO lost a night, the All Stars lost two of their and even Emmett Hahn Sprint Bandits lost a race now for weekly runs, which is much too many to mention.
In Western Pa we lost a lot, I mean a lot of people had talked for months probably well over a hundred sprint cars were heading to Mercer Raceway Park when the owner Vicki Emig MRP took decision to cancel the show it was the right decision to cancel and cancel as soon as possible, too many people who travel so much places like Dillsburg, Pa Lima, Ohio for early cancellation, I thank forward thinking and take a chance on such a great race, I thank her.
I, like many others were looking for this sprint-fest for a very long time the Western Championships Pa Sprint Car was a great idea to have 410, 360 and 305 Sprint cars to a track on the same night was not a home run, it would have been a grand slam type of Barry Bonds.
Vicki, you have a good idea by bringing 360 Sprint Car Knoxville, ESS, PSG, NRA and I hope that the fans could have seen the PA 305 Sprint Cars compete at Mercer Raceway Park Vicki, if a way to get the 305's back, I you are able to do These guys are good and they are very interesting, a blast to watch I'm glad I've had the chance to see up twice 'now in 2004, once in Lincoln and other time at Williams Grove If you have never seen the 305 s, t knock em donation Some of the best sprint car racing you'll ever saw maybe 305 s Attica and Fremont Valley or path or it could Virginia super sprints Pa or 305 GB and see, you will not be disappointed Why Because they are very competitive and you will be watching the sprint car stars of future, you can consult the PA website 305 Sprint take a look at the schedule and catch a race.

If someone is interested in a trip to Fremont this Saturday, and I understand the price of gas, but it could be worth more than 410 s on the map of Fremont, have SOD s or sprints Dirt-360 s from Michigan to compete with 305's of Fremont yes, I said competition is the SOD 305 Sprint Challenge Look probably eighty sprints as well as in the stands Saturday night's 410 are running for 2500 and the challenge is to win 1500 Folks, Fremont averaged 45-305 sprinters almost weekly SOD President Jason Fausey, plans on putting at least twenty sprints Michigan for this event's been sixteen years since the last group visited Fremont Word has it that some of the NRA 360s are planning on competing in Fremont this challenge Since the Mercer show was rained out, I do not plan to miss it Search Fostoria, Jamie Miller of Ohio and Fremont Br ian Bad to the Bone Smith put on a good performance for 305 s.
For more information on this event, please call 419-333-0478 in Fremont Speedway Another little known fact about Fremont is their soft walls In 2002, Fremont became one of the first dirt roads in the United States to install flexible walls and do they ever make a difference.
native Attica Brandon Martin made his first trip to Lernerville last Friday in an attempt to miss the rain in Attica Well, not only did he manage to do so, he finished fifth in the function Lernerville This young man can travel on a budget but its priorities are in the right place We could even see the young Martin back to Lernerville earlier than June 25, All Star makeup race.
Jack Sodeman Jr. has only one kind of luck, I'm bad really starting to feel bad for the friendly sprint car driver Jack even had some special friends Lernerville and they even stop the misfortune to produce pus the former Indy car driver John Paul Jr. and some other friends were there hoping to cheer Jack Jack hurt the engine in his race to heat that ended his chances for the evening As a special note, I did an interview with John Paul Jr. I hope to include in the future, it is quite interesting.
While I have not been able to mention here in RPM Racing News, Rod George made some R & D for the race of American Racer tires and tire brand American American Racer has a new rear left tire which is very different from back left competitor Lynn Atkinson Lias tire explained the left rear is a new tread pattern on it, several side walls and a different construction is supposed to enable the tire on accelerating grow a little and make shifting the car down the right that their distance gives a lot of speed and immediately going back to a certain size cornering When they return to the throttle, the tire develops.
There is more to this interview, but I am against the time limit so I'm going to pick up next week.

Plans for this week is no rain in Susquehanna Speedway Park on Thursday Williams Grove on Friday and Fremont for the Challenge on Saturday.
As you have read on many sites, BMSR announced the creation of the average 15 4 May 2004 15 The average is not the top 15 in points WoO Sprint so far in 2004, two pilots, and Tyler Walker Shane Stewart are not included in 2004, I am aware of other commitments Stewart, I'm not sure what the reason Tyler was not to join the group.
The average 15 consists of current Champion WoO Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana, Donny Schatz and Craig Dollansky and Paul McMahan, Brian Paulus, Tim Shaffer and Daryn Pittman Other members are, Kraig Kinser, Erin Crocker, Jason Meyers Brian Brown, Jason Sides, and Jonathon Allard.
Nobody ever said that these 15 were in the best of the world, it would be good to include other drivers, but it's a start, I am sure that next year will be the top 15 points, that make sense for the organization sprint car first trip.
I spoke with Danny Lasoski the day of the announcement during a break to test IROC car at Richmond International Lasoski said he voted for the motion and believes that it will be good for the sport.
Another pilot who showed enthusiasm average was 15 western Pa native Tim Shaffer It seems quite interesting, many good ideas, good for the future says Shaffer.

By having a mix of veterans and young drivers Shaffer said to have more people involved, a lot of good young drivers contribute to the representation of the series and to help find a sponsor.
Sorry I did not get a column last week here in RPM due to a computer problem that we will have for this week Coeditor Kittey always keep track and I receive a penny a word for each word in my column, I need to do for the last week and be extra verbose this week.
Well, we start with the function Mercer Raceway Park Saturday, April 24 Jack Sodeman Jr. was having another good race when an error, a split second cost Jack Sodeman Jr. a victory with the flag right before Jamie Smith is so good to Mercer Raceway Park, a driver can afford to make a mistake when the jet knocks.
Ralph Spithaler had a blue car at Mercer on April 24 the new red car got the night Cameron Dodson of Greenfield, Indiana made the long tow after destroying a car in Michigan the night before turned his car show for Mercer race Gary Kriess Jr. will support the driving task for Troy while Preston Preston with a back injury.
And now, to make up for last weekend, or what was left Friday was wet in western Pa and Ohio It was a good night or should I say nights in Pa center Brook Weibley Weibley the driver aged 43 was a tough afternoon on Friday, put in a new power plant in his Brook JEI chassis had some bad luck this year for both Grove and Lincoln Williams and now things are starting to work I told readers it a few months ago to monitor the JEI chassis and the teams that use Brook is not yet done, there will be some wins this season.
Speaking of there a new central Pa promoter in Newberrytown oval, which is now called Susquehanna Speedway Todd Fisher Park a native of the area returned to Central Pa after a few years to develop skills in promotion in the North and South Carolina Fisher is bright, energetic and willing to try something different and i mean different, as different Thursday night race another example that has been met with much enthusiasm is to get the fans on the track and home at a decent hour Fisher has a self-imposed 22 hours curfew is correct, 10 PMI really we Granted, it's only two or three divisions show but he Sá Thursday and fans have the weekend to rest and enjoy a show with more divisions than necessary fans want to see a good race and have fun, it's like they print in their press releases pe race fans ut expect from a 2-hour program fast paced each night as invented by a local journalist Made by 10.

Besides the 410 Sprint Cars, other classes include stock cars with a special guest class frequently June 10 PHC have with school buses as third class last Thursday Fred Rahmer turned a few laps on a bus I bet must have was fun to watch doors open at 17 am and the heat quickly start July 30 sounds like a future trip.
Fifteen points separate the top five in the 410 Sprint Car Lance Dewease ranking is the point leader followed by Greg Hodnett, Fred Rahmer, Don Krietz and Eric Stambaugh.
I talked more last sprint races weekend and you can t ask for a better part of Knoxville Raceway for the WoO Friday Saturday It reminded me once when heard, there were more cars sixty for a show in Knoxville WoO the new surface seemed guessing guy and someone other than Danny Lasoski and Steve Kinser win the race.
Another winner in itself is amazing and for drivers started off the first three lines to move as they did is pretty amazing case in point is Tim Shaffer, who started twenty-first and was fourth Knoxville is damn good Shaffer said the new surface was to his liking Donny Schatz started twenty-second was seventh which must have been a great race another tip of the hat and probably the guy that I would have liked to see more win vs the WoO Knoxville's All Star Champ Chad Kemenah Kemenah is the trailer from Ohio to take some of sprint car racings best and really put the finishing second pilot end model of the future dirt Mark Kinser who was recently installed in Rocket chassis.
By the way, in case I can not mention, Chad and the All Stars visit the Speedway Lernerville Friday for a feature and last chance to race for the unskilled The 2003 Baumann Memorial A-main for sprints was interrupted by the rain last year so the plan was to launch this event this Friday, May 7 because the all stars was originally reserved for a central track Pa Saturday night and this time it had all one direction.
The new management team has been Lernerville Capturing Flack on the function that the event of Internet message boards and it is not justified In all actuality, they put money for this event when they didn t have the opportunity to take as is evident with only a ticket of ten dollars on Friday.

NEWSNOTESANDWHATKNOT When WoO DLM s Lernerville were there a few weeks ago, the word was that there were problems in paradise, namely the tour WoO Sprint Brass WoO who attended the race at Lernerville with the DLM s, including CEO Paul Kruger and COO Bobby Hartslief had planned to visit the racecourse Challenger Saturday, April 24 before traveling to Hagerstown for the next race DLM Their plans were cut short because they were necessary for the Talledega short track where sprint cars were Johnson competition, it was reported did not travel with the end of sprint series and Craig Cormack, who joined the group recently Boundless Hartslief to help with brand WoO apparently traveling with sprint Car More on this and other news as it develops WoO 20 April 04.
Lets talk a bit about what has happened, is happening and will happen in the world of sprint car Many people have asked if I am tired of seeing the same drivers earn a lot of time Well, let me ask you Cultivate this question you tired of the same driver win races.
This past weekend I visited Lernerville Attica Raceway Park Friday and Saturday for the All Stars first racing weekend in Ohio From what I was told by fans and other members of the media function ASCoC of Friday night was a good way with Chad Kemenah Mr. Attica, Mark Keegan in his machine X to another win All Star Chad's victory at Attica was his second All Star three races run this season.
Friday Lernerville Speedway, Ed Lynch Jr. came from the twelfth position usual starting from where you gain the previous race, the beating of the ground, including the usual suspects of Chad Hill and Rod George, among others.
Last weekend Steve Kinser won its function WoO 502 career that just happened at the 100th WoO A film in Eldora Kinser has already won five WoO network this season with several victories preliminary Kinser had 31 A-main wins the last year while not having surprised if he wins almost 45 or so this year.
Referencing the above question, is anyone ever get tired of the same winning driver, I'm sure that many people offer different perspectives is it fair to compare a local driver that races at the same track over a driver tourism.

What about a driver who runs two nights a week on average and businesses on the road and beat the WoO and the All Stars.
I do not know you but I want to see a great race every race he didnt always be a race for the win, a race within the race is good to see that I am concerned with the fans but they want to see their victory Driver first favorite, then it otherwise someone else, but not the same guy.
The fact that the same guys win often not be the factor, maybe its just domination, I think the rule, a guy jump in front shortly after the green flag waves could be worse than the same guys win often Sometimes domination makes other racers look lower.
A driver recently told me that not understand why Steve Kinser wins as it is just that good, he also said he wondered how Greg Hodnett could dominate Williams Grove You noticed he didn t say win he says dominates now is the question When a driver can run anywhere on the race track and win a number of different starting positions well, that's domination.
I know how Greg Hodnett and Lee Stauffer dominate Grove They do it the old fashion way†they win is very simple, just look at the Take a look at the car closely and you will notice that there are some innovations in the Motorsports entry apple that make it different from other sprint cars another reason is that Greg Hodnett is in very good physical condition, there is no way he ever fall out of the seat and one more reason, they make good decisions Take for example a few weeks ago when the track would change the tire rule for the day Fred Rahmer said it best when he stuck to the car 12 saying they have done their homework and the other teams, including its didn t.
That's why Apple dominates car in Williams Grove, they just work on everyone and I do not think other teams are inferior by any means last year, they had something like 25 wins, this year, who knows how much they'll have by the end of the season one thing is certain, they will do it at home and on the road by working hard and never give up trying to build a better mousetrap.

Well, this is a subject that I thought I would never write, Mark Kinser drive a model of fine dirt I read on the web that Mark Kinser be driving a late model for Darryl Saucier this season No, I told myself, but as guys who dig for the story, I put a call in to mark the right scoop mark was out of the running of the city, but he returned my call earlier Monday night we talked for the first few minutes then I asked him the 64000 dollar is what I read on the web for you real fine dirt racing model.
Mark laughed when he said hat might be the only real thing ever said about me on the Internet Excuse me That's right, a DLM is the future of Mark.
What really triggered this was all late model racing close to home there are five or six 10,000 to win races that evening said the Indiana native Mark also raised the amount Travel in sprint cars and the fact that there aren t many of these races to pay up more sprints.
Mark said that I do not know what will happen in a perfect world, it will be a month Mark and I spoke for about half an hour about many topics and agreed again soon speak and in fact we plan to make updates on its progress in its new Rocket chassis in the next month.
When I mentioned to the west brand that Pa was the country Rocket, he said he'd love to run a DLM a day Lernerville Can you imagine if Mark is as good a DLM Lernerville as it is in WOW a sprint car.

I'll have all the information for you here Mark Kinser and RPM Racing News and Area Auto Racing News as well.
Some notes of Chiapelli Motorsports weekend and Stimeling pilot broke They plan to have test several training pilots over the next 98 weeks Anyone interested should send e details†the owner Fritz Andrews 72 that was Dale Blaney readers in a MVA last week before the show in Attica Fritz will be 100 by recovering percent after a mild concussion and a few cuts and scratches†Susquehanna Speedway park opened last Sunday, their night of rain, with 15 sprints regular action is scheduled for Thursday 6 30 warm-ups and races in July 30 Check this out, three divisions and final checkered flag fell to 9 58, two minutes before curfew†the Tri-City Speedway self-imposed with a new Stewart Pit Lou long open doors Sunday for their opener†have a great weekend and do not hesitate to drop me a line at 2 GETTING has DAY EASTBAY April 20.
While I missed the East Bay Park opening night Raceway 410 Winter Nationals, I had to listen to Bill Green and Roby Helms on the PA system to SCN SCN Radio Mike Martin has some really cool shots that season on the Sprint Car Net website will be redone giving users easier access to the agreement of organizations, trails and perhaps some type of radio shows Keep checking the website for details great idea Mike Martin and SCN Radio Sprint Car the network.
Thursday when I arrived in Tampa the weather was fine so bizarre appeared during qualifying, I sat down with Steve Sinclair when we noticed the fog begins to develop across the track on the hill We fought the fog all night, but the will of the race prevailed from what the drivers told me about racing in the fog he had not been too bad, except for moisture on their shields was extremely heavy.
The engines were the victims Thursday as Hodnett, Mark Smith and Gene Jenkins Pittman in the car all suffered engine problems While Hodnett made an engine change and was fifth in the main-THE Zemco team and team Gene Jenkins has made changes for the next night Jenkins a Mopar Joey Saldana for the Friday evening event and the driver Daryn Pittman finished fifth in a film.
As I said the night was odd with the fog, but the characteristic finish was as bizarre Jim Nier was leading the race very handily when Jim thought he saw the checkered flag, then leave after he went under the flag, he began to slow down when behind some of the slower traffic with McCarl got hard on the gas blown right by him.

On Friday, when I did an interview with Jim Nier for Sports More video when he admitted he thought he saw the checkered flag when he actually saw the white flag and the transition to Maybe it was the fog that knows, but Jim said it was his mistake, he could have easily said that he has broken or has run out of gas, but it didn t Jim is a competitor and a hell of a driver.
NIER was driving one of two Barry Jackson JEI chassis East Bay NIER JEI right out of the box was probably the fastest car in East Bay NIER, was second in points alone to Terry McCarl enter the final .
Also Thursday that I was walking through the pit area, I had the opportunity to speak with Jason Johnson Jason and his wife Bobbi attended the race as fans and Jason was just catching up with friends in the pit.
To say that Jason was going through hard times is an understatement Then he lost his turn in the number of Al Harrison 22, he and his family suffered a loss much when his sister Kayla died from injuries after a automobile accident while Jason was in Australia.
Jason learned after the accident tried to catch a flight but there were no available flights until the next day, after consulting with his parents, Jason participated in the final set that night and was able win the victory Needless to say that the victory meant little at the time.

Jason said in an interview during the race that night, he mentioned Kayla was in a serious accident and that he would leave as soon as possible after the race, Jason signed autographs for two hours as fans expressed their feelings and support for US friendly young.
Several times a traumatic event changes a person Jason said he learned so much about his sister to his friends that he did not know because he had been absent race.
All this leads to how Jason feels about his former car owner Al Harrison decision to quit racing sprint Remember how Jason's life changed just before learning that the owner of the car decided to sell the assets of the 22 car.
That said, Jason told me no grudge or instead blame Al for his decision Jason feels understandably, that this was the moment of decision is regrettable to 72 years, Al Harrison has the right to what he wants if he wants to sell everything and spending time with her grandchildren or doing some traveling in his motor home, which is its activity related to the driver of 27 years.

One thing is certain, Jason Johnson survive it back losing streak turn his family lost Kayla will take much more time to deal with the loss of a loved one doesn even come close to losing a tower or a job for this matter, should not it.
Jason thinks his chance will come you won t hear Jason Johnson bad mouthing anyone to better his chances of Jason Johnson, loyalty is very important more important than going and trying to steal a guy ride When plans are open, one thing is certain is that the Cajun will roll feeling high again We'll keep all the Johnson family in our thoughts are prayers.
As I think about it, I think it would be a good time to talk about 2004 - Car season sprint 410 The best place to start would be the WoO now owned Boundless Motorsports Racing Inc. While Boundless recently took the title the ship, captain Ted Johnson still maintains control of the wheel While in Florida I have heard many stories, rumors and innuendo about all racing forms rumor covers Wulf who served Chairman of the word Boundless Motorsports recently surfaced that Wulf was relieved of these functions all goes well, Boundless COO Bobby Hartslief address the issue when questioned which will be archived as well.
Other news on the front WoO has Bill Barney Lyle taking over the functions of director of competition new name WoO Dirt Late Model Competition, Barney Bobby Jackson was held in the same position will be the All Star Champions Tour before letting go by All Star President Guy Webb Jack Hewitt left the All stars after the 2003 season for reasons that were never made public.
While Jackson will deal with the new Dirty Dozen Lyle supervise runners he has known for some time and has experience When I spoke with barn last week, he was excited about the new challenge and be back on the road Congratulations to both, I'm sure they will do well in 2004 and beyond.

I tried to finish this column earlier in the week, but that didn t happen, so I will end this soon.
But first, Jimmy Weller III is a young driver who has had some success in a big block modified and decided the end of last season, he wanted to go car racing sprint Jimmy's father is a partner in the Sharon Speedway Dave Blaney to get started in the right direction of wasn ta problem late 2003 Jimmy did some shopping and ran a lot of laps in a car that was more for him to get in revolutions that to compete at the front.
Jimmy Weller made his debut in 2004 at East Bay Raceway Park during the Winternationals chassis really treated her taste JJ Jeff McCall during the week of Dave Blaney driving experience Weller attend if possible, Jimmy hopes to run the sprint car sixty -Ten times during the season Jimmy mentioned that he intends to do some shopping in the Big Block Model 2004 for a local team probably running on Sharon circuit.
Another quick note of East Bay involves the recovery of Kevin Frye Brown Recluse spider bite happened yesterday Kevin August coming along nicely now after dealing with a 105 fever degrees and being sick which lasted in November Wow His plans to run some different races with more non-wing shows in 2004.

The King of the 360s was launched at East Bay Raceway on 28 with Joey Saldana taking victory number Red Stauffer 2s Joey happened in Tampa Tuesday evening after the race in Australia was tied in points with Danny Lasoski who finished third in Wednesday's race was driving an eagle chassis owned by his father, George.
One ageless Roger Rager, returned third points after finishing second in Wednesday's feature Roger sought the help of his old friend Deuce Deuce Turrill turn key a story about this old friend Rager.
When Roger leaves the race car driver 54 goes to the front end of the sprint and lifts the car to its size According Deuce, Rager has done this for years, even when Roger ran his car silver crown weighs a bit more than the car sprint.
You really need a line up card to say some of the drivers of their temporary supports As I mentioned, Joey Saldana is number 2 Red Stauffer, Lasoski in 20L which will be driven by Tony Stewart Tuesday and Wednesday to show USCS Volusia Jeff Shepard Kasey Kahne engine number 67, JEI Chassis Barry Jackson led Chad Kemenah 20K yellow number belonging to Ron Hammons Ohio the other driver in another machine is Kelly Kinser leading No. 97 belonging to Joe Seeling also attended Greg Wilson, Lance Dewease and Terry McCarl in their own race cars with 360 engines.

Although I mentioned a few of the 410 guys, there are some very good 360 runners here in Florida One of the best ever, Kenny Adams lives in the area, but racing with USCS mostly Martin Jr is a good young rider with past years the king of the Sport 360 Sport Allen Allen is working a job a week of 50 hours as a UPS player and he still finds time and energy to race Besides reigning East Bay Champ Johnny Gilbertson others include Sprint and Midget editor Doug Auld, the team Hulk Hogan racers Gene Lasker and Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, of course Red Stauffer and Wayne Reutimann driving an old Donnie Krietz Jr. Avenger chassis and finally a name that every fan of cars January sprint know Opperman Jr. who races here in the east bay.
I really like this race because you get a good cut of 360 runners from all over the country Examples are the Jesse Giannetto bulldog regularly Mike Chadd Knoxville the ESTS Champ, Darren Long, who is driving a car the team here to SOS Champion Glenn Styers which also owns the Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada Roger Rager of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, Gary Wright Dream Weaver hooks, Texas and Phil Mott Hinsdale, NY.
John Karklin regular ESS is here with new teammate Doug Emery 360 Both pilots decided to pool their resources to make their assault on the ESS title for 2004.
The B-main here Thursday was a good as T-Mac, Terry McCarl won victory over Danny Lasoski with one lap to go.

Thursday A-function doubled-up of six fast which made the drivers he reversed out of the Who were seeking were Rager Roger and Kenny Adams.
Shane Stewart took the lead and after Danny Martin spun in turn 1, Terry McCarl and Dude completed the top three McCarl jumped at the restart, Stewart was second while the air battle followed with Greg Leonard, Lasoski, Wright and Saldana to battle Shane spent on McCarl on lap 17 with others in tow.
Upon restart, Lasoski was low in both round and as he slid Greg Leonard was pushed to the wall and the second corner on its side at the same time Terry Gray eventually stopped along the tower wall.
Shane really clinging to a big win at East Bay Raceway Park Shane won the victory over McCarl, Lasoski, Gary Wright and Jeff Shepard.

Some other notes here†Mike Chadd's Scott Benic provide a helping hand here in East Bay this week, they have developed a new Maxim Thursday from 9 30 and ending around 16 pm and was released a 11 skilled Mike sported the colors of his earthly carpet sponsor who will be the main sponsor of Mike this year†Word wants Sammy Swindell could be back with Dennis Roth in 2004 the only question will be, will be Sammy and Tim Shaffer both on the road with the WoO or that someone should remain a race in California Joey Saldana will be in the 50 car this season and plans for the team on running 80 races this season weather played havoc with Joey really travel plans her trip Australia took about 28 hours and Shannon Joey Saldana have their son with them here in Florida as Rob and Kathy Hart daughter with them, it's great to see families together at the track.
While at East Bay I talked with Justin Collett The runner URC race isn t here Winternationals 360, it is still checking down the opening event for 360 s Recently, I asked some Justin matters a little about himself.
I'm a bio sheet for Racewear Sprint Car Show and help some of the columns I do in RPM and web Some of his answers.
The driver old high school student 18 years plans to attend Delaware Technical College specializing in mechanical engineering figures from his favorite driver other than Greg Hodnett While Justin has been running for eight years, also enjoys fishing, skiing and lacrosse.
Check out Justin's Web site for more information.

Although it was a little over a month I did a column, the world of sprint car was a busy place.
Let's Take the world first Outlaws Boundless Motor Sports Racing Inc. or BMSR on scholarships said October 31, 2003 had requested additional funding and hoped the deal with Ted Johnson by 24 November 2003 Well, since the Thanksgiving has come and gone, I think they missed this goal and might be able to have things wrapped up shortly.
Just a few months BMSR stock was trading at more than 7 00 Per Action November 28, 2003, the stock closed at 2 75 per share Ouch, if you bought one at higher price if I was Ted Johnson and part the agreement was for the shares of stock and no money, I would sign as t WoO either.
I think a lot of Ted is back on the rise it not Boundless, has signed an agreement with the Outdoor Channel and it seems to be for everyone The agreement with Boundless would have sounded good at the time for Ted, but now I'm not that Ted needed refloated and Boundless Boundless has held their end, but Ted well, we know it was close to selling the WoO before but didn t pull the trigger Maybe Ted is only to arrange for the money, no action from one position down stock only time will tell, but the first game of the season at Manzy is only a means of months.
If you go to the site, you will notice that it has not been updated since 4 November 2003 that the site was updated t hasn and they haven t sent recent press releases makes me wonder.
Incidentally, have you noticed that there is no mention on the website BMSR WoO Now doesn t that you wonder if the two approached at least one link to the BMSR be there.

In my last column, I wrote that the All Stars were close to signing with the Volusia County Speedway for Speedweek It was announced recently that the Volusia County will take place in 2004 and will not be part of the All Star program 2004, sprints USCS It seems that if put dirt on DeSoto is out of the question once offered by All Star President Guy Webb is really too bad, I would have liked to see that.
Another thing that is not the same with the All Stars is the location of their annual banquet When the PRI trade show was in Columbus, Ohio the group used the system worked well for everyone recent years the group celebrated their banquet night Indy 2003 will be in Dayton, Ohio on the grounds of the University Wright More information about the banquet can be obtained from the All Star website.
You may have seen the recent press release from Jerry Slade GLOSS President, Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint Series, I spoke with Jerry few weeks ago and I know it was fun the idea of dissolving the sanctioning body but I had hoped it would not be the case, one could understand the circumstances that Jerry has faced for those who do not know or haven t read Jerry history Reigle in Auto Racing News area, Jerry Slade has cancer and has fought against for the last 10 years.
Coping with cancer is reason enough to stop the run, but throw in a season when the group ran only 11 races and you get the idea that it was difficult, I do not blame Slade t to dissolve the group Its unfortunate, but it is said that when God closes one door, another opens and so is the case for 410 top sprint races in central Canada.
Word has it that the Mid-America Sprint Car Series will begin the race of the 2004 season in the same basic area where GLOSS ran in the last five years, Scott Benic who provided the truck parts to GLOSS races joined with Joe Darmofal Darmofal to form the new series will be a guest on Fremont, Ohio-based radio show the next round last Monday, December 1, 2003.

From what I heard, the series will be paid in 2500 to win 300 and 00 to start the race Danny Smith won GLOSS Championship 2003 and the figures follow the new series.
I have to admit, from what I've heard, I think Scott and Joe have a winner on their hands, only time will tell, but I'm looking forward to their first game, whenever it might be.
One of the races I've seen in October was at Muskingum County Speedway which was not sanctioned event I enjoyed the event, but I must say it was a day longer than was necessary, I heard more than one team if the race had been sanctioned might not have been a ten-hour day is a way of thinking, but I think if a developer wants to add the sprint cars to follow this doesn t run sprint cars on a regular basis, they should be prepared.
It wouldn t hurt to get someone to help organize the event without having to pay the sanction fee also to educate fans about sports car sprint, get someone to help advertiser of the track with a class he does not know.

Below a picture of Cameron Dodson an Indiana driver who traveled to racing 410 sprint end of this season The Muskingum race was the sixth of the young season What a great paint job Cameron plans to run with the All Stars next year.
Above, the future winner and crowned champion Ohio State was Jim Neir Neir Raceway owner of K-C said he was planning to make some changes to the race track C-K for the 2004 season.
Caleb Griffith gets a few laps in a Sprint Car 410 at Muskingum.
If you look closely helmet Dale Blaney you will notice the former basketball star WVU Mountaineer was being politically correct by wearing the colors of Ohio State Buckeye to Ohio State Championships.

Other notes include word that a former publisher of the track is rumored to be the new promoter of a go-kart track in NW Ohio More on this story as it develops.
Do not forget to stop're Racewear booth at the PRI Show in Indy next week to say hello We are located in section A Booth 7015-7017 The Racewear Sprint Car Show will hit the web in April next year in a new, more size details on the show will be published next week at the PRI show.
