After testing 36 vehicles through 2012 security organization called the safest cars of the year and the Clio came out on top in its segment.

Most cars generally receive a score of protecting pedestrians below and this is evident in the crash evaluation test for Renault Clio, with the car receiving 66 percent in the test above.



Comments indicated that the protection offered by the bonnet leading edge was mainly good but added that in most areas likely to be struck by the head of a child, the protection was low or marginal.
The car managed to get a score of 99 percent in active safety criterion around the results, testers praising the car safety features which will be mentioned below.
