The French National Museum Schlumpf Bugatti engine

Mulhouse Motor Museum (City of # 39; Automotive)



The French city of the automobile Museum National Motor is one of our favorite destinations on CARTER Tours The museum was often called Schlumpf Bugatti museum or just after the two brothers who assembled the collection and many Bugattis included the museum buildings have recently been completely revised with this impressive entrance façade made sports car models full size interspersed flight of storks to do it justice, you could spend a week or more reviewing evidence, but half a day is usually enough before one is overwhelmed by the quantity and variety, with about 400 exhibits, including the largest collection of Bugattis worlds.

The vast halls of the textile factory where decomissioned Schlumpf brothers had stored their collection, are partly left as they were found in 1977 when striking workers revolted after the Schlumpf brothers had started to break the company.
Workers have found more than 600 cars in the collection which was eventually rescued by the French Government in a buyout in 1981.

The museum seems to have so many kind of 57s, a couple was left in various stages of construction so that all the details of engineering can be seen.

I visit the Mulhouse museum over the past 20 years and I always find something new and exciting that I have not seen before, so enjoy my old favorites once again, we do not make excuses for Mulhouse include a ride motorcycle, everyone with an interest in technical engineering and beauty of the design will enjoy a few hours here.
