Toyota Motor Manufacturing France TMMF yesterday held an official ceremony to mark the start of production 6 May 2013 its successful Toyota Yaris compact car for export to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico Product model conventional gasoline Yaris and annual export volume will be about 25,000 units annually an additional $ 10 million was invested by TMMF to build the Yaris to the specific requirements of the new export market.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of Toyota Motor Europe CEO Didier Leroy said that the additional export market is yet another proof of the success enjoyed by Toyota's manufacturing operations in France.
He said there are many reasons to preserve the production of compact cars in France, but all partners must work together to maintain the competitive advantage of TMMF Valenciennes, highly skilled employees and quality of mind that can handle complex process of production, and proximity to good logistics and supplier networks are also key success factors.
With Quebec having 65 Yaris Canadian sales, a warm welcome will be provided to this vehicle made in France, said Seiji Ichii CEO of Toyota Canada Inc.
