A group of flight enthusiasts have rebuilt the Bugatti 100P, an advanced combat aircraft of 1940 Bugatti100p project.
A team of engineers works together to recreate the Bugatti Veyron and Bugatti 100P, deco fighter of the era art designed for World War II would have broken the air speed record in 1940 - the plane was missing.
Designed and built by the Italian sports car designer Ettore Bugatti and Louis de Monge, the plan presented cutting edge technology for its time, two 4 including 9-liter race car engine eight-cylinder producing 450 horsepower each, according to the Daily Mail.
Featuring front fenders slope, trail zero cooling system and realized computer flight control, air was able to achieve an air speed of 500 mph, which would have made the fastest and most map advanced of its time.
The reign of the air speed record time was 469 mph set by a German Messerschmitt aircraft in 1939.

The Bugatti 100P was not ready in time for the deadline in September 1939 to enter the race for the aircraft Cup Deutsch, so when World War II began, Bugatti, who had acquired French nationality between the wars , decided to hide the craft into pieces in crates in a barn in the French countryside to prevent it from being discovered by the Nazis.
The French government was aware of the plane, and it is believed that one of the ministers of Hitler, Albert Speer, also knew of the plan.
If the Germans had been able to get hold of the Bugatti, it is believed that the aircraft could have outperformed British Supermarine Spitfires during the Battle of Britain.
The Bugatti 100P now lives at the Museum EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and as it is too fragile to be used, a group of flight enthusiasts have a replica of the plane with the help of crowdfunding Kickstarter community which raised 62500 by May 2013.
The new plan was made by a team of engineers in Oklahoma, with the help of former RAF engineer John Lawson, 59, who worked at the Vulcan bomber and now runs a hobby business in Nottingham .

According to the official website of Bugatti 100P team wish to recreate and share the plan, which they call The Blue Dream Blue Dream to showcase its unique design of the 1930s.
Why would someone take to build a replica of an airplane that never flew and for which there are no known plans and some relevant drawings We could make a good argument for building a replica Bugatti 100P based solely on its heritage After all, Ettore Bugatti built only a plane, the team wrote.
The only way we can return to the classic era of aviation and flying this aircraft is to recreate the Bugatti 100P us and share the experience with fans everywhere.
The reconstitution of the aircraft is aerodynamically and dimensions identical to the original plan, with similar materials and original patents elements for the Bugatti 100P, as well as a gearbox designed by Lawson.

The replica will however complete fly a little slower than the original because it has two motorcycle engines Suzuki Hayabusa producing 200 horsepower each, so that the plane will fly at a speed of over 200 mph.
The plane will make its official debut next month at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California, and flying in October in European air shows such as Farnborough Air Show and Goodwood Revival.
